What type of visa to apply for 21hrs layover in Xiamen?

I have a manila to los angeles flight on May, but i have a 21 hrs layover to xiamen, what visa should i apply for? Mnl-xmn (21 hrs)- LaX, a xiamen air flight.

The 24 hr direct transit can cover your 21 hrs layover to xiamen, and no visa is required for that trip.

Thanks for replying Ira. During my 21hrs layover. I would like to go out xiamen airport. Maybe book a nearby hotel instead of staying in the airport. Would that be possible for that transit visa? Thanks alot.
