About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

8 hours stoppover in Bejiing

We are Hungarian landing in Beeijing midday and our connection flight to Vietnam (same ticket, with Air China) departs 8:20 PM on the same day. Are we eligible for the 72 hours visa and do we have to collect our baggage or just go directly to the immigration, ask visa and just back to the airport 2 hours before the connection flight?

You are eligible for the 24 hours direct transit in Beijing, and no visa is required. You can contact with the airlines to confirm if you need to collect your luggage. If your luggage is delivered to the final destination directly, there is no need to collect the luggage. Otherwise, you need to collect your luggage.
