144 Hour Transit Visa. Does the stop in USA qualify for a third party country.

Can I Canada fly to Shanghai (7 day cruise to Japan) stay 144 hours upon return to Shanghai fly USA fly Canada.

Yes, the stop in USA qualifies for a third party country, and you can get two 144 h free transit in Shanghai. Nice trip.
