Do I qualify for a 144 or 72 hour transit free visa?

I will be travelling from the US to Beijing and then flying to Sihanoukville, Cambodia followed by BKK then back to the US. I think I understand that I do not need to obtain a visa since I qualify for the transit free visa, is this correct?
