About:Chinese Names

if want use Mr/Ms, must we use his/her surname?

i got liaise with Chinese officer, his name is Teh Lim Kim.. he introduced his name as kim. so i call him Mr Kim, but one of my Chinese colleague said his surname was Teh, not Kim.. like he's not agreed or I'm the one who's wrong because call the officer 'Mr Kim'.

haha, yes, you need to use his surname after Mr., so as your friend said, you should call him Mr. Teh, not Mr. Kim.
