Dear Mr/ Ms!
I would like to go to China by land from Laos, is it possible for me to get 30 days tourist visa in Chinese embassy in Vientiane?
What are the requirements?

You can try to apply from Chinese consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. The duration of L visa is 30 days in general. And documents you need are original passport, applicaiton form with photo stuck to it. And if possible, provide train tickets and hotel reservations from China.
