About:China Tourist Visa

Dear Mr/Ms
I am an Iranian student studying a postgraduate course in UK. There would be a field trip to Shanghai for one of my core modules (interdiciplinary practice) in second semester on 25th of March 2011. All my coursemates which are going to be in this trip are UK citizens. Could you please let me know how I can apply and obtain a China visa inside the UK considering that I am an Iranian student who's holding a Uk student visa which is valid till 29th of January 2012.
Regards
Sussan

Chinese Visa Application Service Center in UK requires non-Uk passport holders with the original and a copy of their permanent residence or work permit with validity for at least half a year. I think, your student visa is sufficient, but not sure, you may enquire at their tel for this.
