About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

American passport. Traveling to Bali with 20 hours layover at Xiamen

I and my friend would like to leave the airport and explore the city for a few hours. What kind of visa do we need and if there are any restrictions or potential problems? Thank you.

Marina, you are eligible for 24 hour direct transit in Xiamen. No visa is needed for that. Nice trip.
