About:China Visa Application in USA

American in Kazakhstan

I am a US citizen who lives and works in Kazakhstan. I want to visit China as tourist, but I can't go to a China Embasy in US. What are alternatives? There is a Chinese Consulate in Almaty, can I go there?

You can apply in China embassy in Kazakhstan if you are a long-term resident there.
