About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I’m coming from Guangzhou to Newark, NJ. Layover at Beijing for 4hrs.

Do I need to reclaim baggage and check in again? What is the process?

No need to claim the baggage and check in. The process is:
Inspection&quarantine-exit and entry frontier inspection-security check-customs inspection-waiting& boarding.
