144 hours visa for shanghai

Question

If my ticket is HKG / Shanghai / Taipei.  Is it ok to apply 144 hour transit visa in Shanghai?

The travel route will be fine for the free transit, and if you are HONG KONG citizen, you can enjoy free entry to mainland China as long as you have Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents.
