About:Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Gorge)

From Lijiang to Shangri-La stopping in tiger leaping gorge

Hello! After many research I’m still trying to understand if it’s possibile to go from Lijiang to the gorge, spend there 2/3 hours and go directly to Shangri-la.

Hi, Bea! The bus from Lijiang to Shangri-la passes by the gorge and you can tell the driver to drop you off there. After enjoying the gorge, you can catch the bus passing by to Shangri-la; or you can hire a car with other visitors to the city.

Hi James! Thanks for your quick reply. Do you know the timetable from the gorge to Shangri-La? Do you also know it there is anything where I can leave my backpack while visiting the gorge? Thanks

The bus from Lijiang to Shangri-la passes by the gorge and it’s available from 7:30 to 17:30.
Your bags can be stored in the supermarket in Hutiaoxia Town, and you can take a car to the gorge from the town.
