About:Visa on Arrival
I am holding Philippine passport but I visited Beijing and Shanghai in 2016, would I be granted VOA.

So you’ve got the Chinese visa before? If so, you can apply for the VOA!1

I was at the Luo Hu Port on May 8 but not granted VOA despite of the fact that I got Chinese visa before and other docs to prove that I wont overstay. I was sent back to hongkong and finish my vacation there. Never met my friend at the port. No choice. I had the hard time to make arrangements in Hongkong. Lesson learned: never to take chances0
