do we need to get three day visa?

Hello,We have longover in Shanghai, little over 24 hours like 25-26 hours.We planning on staying in hotel for a night and sightsee. We are coming in from Seattle and then heading to Sydney. But they are two airlines. Doesn’t that matter or no?

As long as you have booked the air tickets with dedicated seats, the different airlines do not matter. You can still avail the 72 hours visa-free policy to have a visit of the city.
