About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do we need a Tourist Visa to apply for the 144 TWOV?

My family & I plan to visit Beijing for 4 days to tour the Great Wall & the Forbidden City in March, but we don’t have confirmed seats because my husband works for the airline so we fly standby. Will this cause problems when applying for the 144 TWOV?

Stand-by is a no-no for TWOV. You need to apply for a visa.
