About:China Transit Visa

Transit Visa needed from flying to Canada from Philipines via China? And how to get it?

Hi,

I am a Filipino, who is immigrating to Canada, I do not have the permanent resident card yet, but I do have the confirmation of permanent residence (COPR).

My flight to Vancouver (China Eastern Airline) has layover in Shanghai-Pu Dong for 3 hours. So I want to know if I need a transit G? As per the ticket, transit visa is required, if yes, then please let me know the process of getting the same.

Thanks
Jen

You are eligible for 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai, and no transit G type is needed.
