About:China Transit Visa

Do I need a visa for 6 hours layover?

Hello, I’m traveling to Vietnam from LAX with a layover in China each way.

You cannot use free transit because Lax-Shanghai and Beijing-Lax is not a transit. You need to apply for a regular visa beforehand.
