About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing Visa rule

We are Canadians travelling Canada-Thailand-Beijing-Canada, and will be stopping over in Beijing for 3 nights. However we exceed the strict 72-hour rule for Beijing arrivals by 7 hours. (We arrive on a Monday early morning, depart on a Thursday early afternoon). Would we qualify for the 144-hour instead?

The 72-hour entry permit is no longer being issued. You will get a 144-hour entry permit as long as your layover is more than 24 hours.
