About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does 72 hour visa exemption work both ways

Outbound London to Shanghai (stop 72 hours) then onto hcmc
Return 11days later hcmc to Shanghai (stop 24 hours) then onto London

Is this ok for exemption for both journeys ?

Thanks
Ged
