144hr visa exemption and train travel

Hi
Is it possible to fly from Japan to Beijing, stay visa free for 6 days, then exit on Trans-Mongolian from Beijing central train station?
Embassies/consulates just email us conflicting or unclear web info.
Thanks
Louise (UK citizen)

According to the policy, passengers can enter and leave from Beijing Capital International Airport or Beijing West Railway Station if they use the 144-hour visa free transit in Beijing. I am afraid that you can not enjoy the visa free transit as you will leave from Beijing Railway Station.
