About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

144 hour free visa - UK / Hong Kong / Beijing

Hi we are travelling from the UK to Hong Kong but then we want to take 6 days and fly into Beijing to see the wonderful sites and then back to Hong Kong 6 days later will we be covered by the free visa?

No, you do not qualify for 144 hours visa-free transit (which is not a free visa) because Hong Kong-Beijing-Hong Kong isn't a transit. You must have a visa in advance to travel like that.
