144 hour visa exemption for Shanghai

I am a New Zealand passport holder and will be flying from New Zealand to Tokyo to Seoul to Shanghai to Tokyo to New Zealand. On 30 April I will be flying into Shanghai from Seoul on Asiana Airlines arriving at 3.10pm.
On 4 May I will be flying out of Shanghai to Tokyo on Japan Air Lines departing at 11.50am.
Can I use the 144 hour free transit?
