About:China Family Reunion Visa

Hello,i am a Turkish citizen and permanent Hong Kong resident.

My wife is a Chinese who is living in Hong Kong since 1994.
Sometimes we would like to go to her hometown to stay for while.May i apply for Q1 visa with an invitation letter from my Brother in law who is a Chinese citizen?

Ahmet, no, an invitation letter from your brother-in-law doesn’t allow to apply for a Q1 type.

This is from Chinese Embassy's web page:
"Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons,
granddaughters and parents-in-law"
Are you sure about that My Brother in Law's invitation letter will not enough?

get a tourist L. theyll start you off with 30days, and if you manage to go there without starting trouble, they may give you 60 days the next time you apply
