Disembarking Tianjin cruise port

I am embarking a cruise ship in Singapore and ports of call include Hong Kong. No other Chinese ports. I will disembark in Tianjin and stay in a hotel in Beijing for 3 days before travelling back to UK. Does the transit visa apply, please
