Round trip from SFO-PEK for a week then within that week round trip from PEK-HKG

Do I need visa or 72 hour transit is good?

Well, you will stay in Beijing for a whole week? If so, a visa is necessary before you come; if the stay is less than 144h, you can enjoy a 144h visa free transit. Have a nice trip!
