regarding the transit visabaggage collection

Question

Hi I will be travelling through Chinese eastern airline from Ningbo to PVG... Hongqiao (SHG) to Kumming.....to Kolkatta CUC (India)....with a layover of 8 hour in shanghai and 3 in Kumming My questions are1. I am holding the valid residence permit of Ningbo  and i am indian citizen holding indian passport...do i need transit visa?2. Regarding baggage..Do  i need to collect my check-in baggage at the PVG and take it to the Hongqiao and again check in there?3. How i go from PVG to to Hongqiao terminal?Thank you

Oh, you don't need to hold a visa since you hold the resident permit of mainland China. You can finish the transfer procedure in PVG and check-in the luggage there, too. Then you don't need to handle the luggage to Hongqiao on your own. You can take shuttle bus line 1 to Hongqiao within 60-70min. Or you may take subway line 2 to get there directly and it takes 90min.

Thanks Need your more help1. One doubt..once i checked -in my luggage at NGB...then again i need to collect at PVG and checked in at PVG in order to proceed it for Honqiao..2.Can i collect my luggage at PVG and will take it by my own at Hongqiao and checked in there is it possible...

Thankscan I checked in my luggage at once at NGB and will collect it at the CUC (Kolkata) as i am traveling through Chinese eastern airline throughout my journey from NGB to CUC. Will it be possible.
