About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Malaysia Passport Hi, I have a stopover of 6 hours in Shanghai.

However, I dont intend to leave the airport. Do I still need to apply visa? I am holding malaysia passport

Yes, you need to apply for a transit G type for that as Malaysia passport holders don’t qualify for the 24 hour direct transit.
