About:Visa on Arrival

Do you need to have visited before to apply for the VOA?

I've read on one online site that it is essential that you have travelled to china before in order to be eligible for the VOA
Is this correct? I can't find a definitive answer
Thanks in advance

It is kind of correct, but the difficulty of getting the VOA depends on ur nationalities. As I know, people from UK, Australia, Canana…… can easily get one depsite of no entry to China before. Citizens of some countries can only get one on condition that they were approved Chinese visa before.
