I have a 12 hr layover at Kunming airport. Is it possible to go out and visit city by bus?

I will be flying from Colcatta (India) - KM - Lizhou. I reach at 6.15 am and flight to Lizhou is at 7.15 pm. Is is possible to go our of the airport and visit km by a tourist bus? Thanks
