About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am German citizen living in the US.

I shall be arriving in Beijing around 16:05 on 11 April from Toronto. My scheduled departure is on 14 April at 13:20 for Bangkok. Later in the week I shall be travelling to Hong Kong and then on to Toronto.

Is my understanding is correct that I do not require any visa because my stay in Beijing is less than 72 hours and my I have ticket with seat reservation for Bangkok with onward trip to Hong Kong and Toronto.

Please advice.

Vinesh, yes, you don’t need any entry permit for Beijing because you are eligible for the 144 hour free transit there.
