Can the transit visa be used on a multi-trip ticket?

I will be flying Dubai - Sri Lanka - Beijing - Dubai on one ticket. Will this count as it is originating and ending in Dubai or will the ticket Sri Lanka - BJ - Dubai count. Thanks
