About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 transit visa for German passport holders

My parents are permanent residence of Australia holding German passports.

They are leaving on a cruise with a one day stop in Shanghai and no-one here (in OZ) can confirm if they are able to utilise the 144 hour free transit?

Will they be refused boarding in Brisbane if they don't have it organised prior?

Thanks, Heidi

If they travel like Australia-Shanghai-a third country, they will be able to use the free transit in Shanghai.
