Visa requirement after disembarking ship in Tianjin and exiting China via a Beijing airport same day

Hello

Myself and my husband I are going on a cruise in April 2018.

We disembark in Tianjin at 08:00 on 26th April 17 and have arranged a sightseeing cruise tour with Airport drop off at Beijing airport as we fly out the same day at 2345 hrs.

QF108 to Sydney 26th April 2018.

Cruise Line is Royal Caribbean, ship is Ovation of the Seas.

We are Australian Citizens

Do we need a Chinese Visa for the 15 hours we are in China? We need a definitive answer as we have been getting very vague answers from the consulate when we have previously asked.

Look forward to your reply.
