Multiple entry VISA needed or not?

Hi. Can I just double check please. I'm due to fly from the UK to Hong Kong, change planes and fly to Beijing. After that I'll be travelling round mainland China for two weeks, ending up back in Hong Kong for two days before flying home. Does this mean I need a multiple entry VISA, rather than single or double entry?

Andy,
That sounds like a single entry to (mainland) China, but in our experience, UK citizens are now given a two year multiple entry visa as standard anyway. Please see link to Chinese Embassy below, but do check before you get to the border!
