Visit to Shanghai and cruise.7th April to 17 April 2018

My husband and I are flying to Shanghai for one night before cruising to Japan on Quantum of the Seas for five nights, return to Shanghai for 3 nights. Do I need a visa to China for this trip.

Well, if you will go through the Japan’s customs, then your route is UK-Shanghai-Janpan-Shanghai-UK. In that case, no visa is needed, and you can enjoy the 144h visa free transit for the second entrance.
If you won’t enter Japan, a visa is necessary.
