About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Change in departing country and airline

Had originally planned for Korea-beijing-usa for less than 72hrs. Registered with China immigration with this plan. Now that in Beijing, changing departure to Australia (of course stil within 72hrs and same airport). Would this be ok with China immigration given the departing airline information changing. Thank you for your reply in advance.

El, yes, this will be ok. By the way, Beijing has implemented the 144 hour free transit, so you can stay for more than 72 hours there.
