Denied boarding in Phnom Penh

I was travelling from Phnom Penh to Vancouver with a layover in Guangzhou. I have a canadian passport. I was denied boarding in Phnom Penh because i did not have a visa. Why did this happen to me? It was with some Cambodian airline. Had to buy a new ticket. Why did this happen????

Peter, some places may not know the free transit policy in China. Feel sorry for what happened to you. Maybe you can download the relevant policy from the TIMATIC data base and then print it out. When boarding the flight, you can show the information.
