In order to apply for a work Z type, you need to provide passport and copy of its data, a fully completed application form, a passport-style photo, and the work permit. Your employer will get the work permit for you and you need to provide diploma certificate and work experience certificate as well as other documents the consular officers require.

Legally, there is the 2 year work experience requirement. However, you know how Chinese laws have loopholes. Any recruiter can easily waive the requirement by referring you as an "English trainer" or "English tutor". So don't worry about it.
