Hello, I'm a German citizen, arrived in China about two weeks ago.

I would like to extend my L type for another 30 days. I heard the regulations are very strict in 2017 and someone told me that as a German passport holder, I probably can't extend my visa for another 30 days while in China. Do I really have to fly back to Germany and apply for a new L type in order to be able to stay for another 30 days?
