On the way home we are flying Bali to Hong Kong staying 70 hours - do we need a visa or will 72 hour work?

For the way to Thailand, you are eligible for 72h visa free transit. To get back, no visa is needed either, because you are exempt from visa for 90 days in Hong Kongkong.

Yes, of course. BTW, you can take airport express and transfer to metro line 2 at Dongzhimen. Get off at Jishuitan and walk east for about 10 minutes to Deshengmen. At last, you can catch Bus 877 from Deshengmen directly to Badaling Great Wall. It takes about 2h 40 minutes in total.Have a nice trip!
