About:China Train

I want to take the train from Shanghai to Beijing.

Do I have to buy a ticket in advance (now) or can I also buy a ticket at the station, on the day of departure?

It mainly depends on the availability. If you are not on a tight schedule, you may choose to buy it on the day of departure. If the first choice sold out, you may choose others. If you are not very flexible for departure time, it would be better to book one in advance.
