About:China Transit Visa

Hi, I’m a Vietnamese citizen traveling from USA back home to Vietnam.

I will have one stop in shanghai for 5 hours. I looked on line threw the IATA website and it claims I need a transit visa, I also emailed the China embassy here in Los Angeles and they said I don’t need... please help shed some light on this for me.

You don’t need it because you can use the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai.
