About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I have a flight to Sydney via Shanghai, Stay in Shanghai is 15 hours. I have Pakistani passport

Can I get TWOV for 24hours to visit the city ?

Hi, you cannot get TWOV for 24 hours to visit the city. You should apply for a transit visa beforehand for your trip.

First, you should prepare passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form attached with a passport-style photo, and the confirmed air tickets. Next, submit the application to the embassy of China to apply for the transit G type.
