Turkish Citizen Transit Visa Needed?

I am a Turkish passport holder traveling from Japan to Thailand with a 3 hour layover in Shanghai. What is the procedure I will need to do to proceed through the airport? Do I need a Chinese transit visa before arriving?

Hi, as I know, Turkish citizens need to apply for transit G type for the layover in mainland China before arriving.
