About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need visa for a cruise which is embark in Shanghai

Hi,
I am holding Canadian passport, my cruise will be embark in Shanghai and I will be arrive at Shanghai by flight 48 hours before the cruise leaves, does it qualify for the 72 visa free transit?

If you are traveling Country A - Shanghai (48 hours) - Country B then you can make use of free transit program in there. No need to apply for a visa for that.
