South African eligible for visa free transit

I am travelling from South Korea to France with a 3 hour layover in Beijing. I have a South African passport. Do I need to apply for an entry permit or am I eligible for a visa free transit? I am getting conflicting information. Most people told me that I do not need one, but South Africa is not on the list of the 51 countries with free transit. Can anyone please help me? Thanks!

Hi, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing if you travel like that. No visa is needed then.
