About:China Visa on Arrival

Transit visa at kunming

Hi Im a Sri Lankan Passport holder. Have got 13 hours lay over in Kunming on the way to Colombo from Inchoen Korea. I have booked a Hotel nearby the airport. Can I get a transit entry permit on arrival?

Hi, I'm afraid you cannot get it on arrival. You are supposed to apply for a visa for the layover in Kunming beforehand.

If you have straight through ticket which indicates that there is a transit, I believe you can. It cannot be a single ticket to Kunming and then a separate ticket from Kunming to Colombo. If you're flying Xiamen Air or whatever airline, just ask them. Good Luck.

Actually they gave me 72 hours free transit at the airport.
