About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Less than 24 hours in Shanghai

British passport holder wanting to travel London - Shanghai & Shanghai - Bangkok (& RETURN) both on separate tickets with less than 24 hours transit.
Will this be okay or will I need to apply for a visa?

That will be fine on a qualifying passport and non-stop flights.
