Los Angeles - Tokyo - Beijing - Los Angeles?

I am living in the US but have UK passport. My travel plan is Los Angeles - Tokyo - BJ - Los Angeles. Is this eligible for the 72-hour VISA free?

So you will only have a stopover in Tokyo? If so, your trip will be regarded as round trip and you cannot use the 72h visa-free transit. But if you will change another international flight at Tokyo for BJ, your case is suitable for the policy.

Thanks! I will be staying in Tokyo for one night before flying to Beijing, so it should not count as stopover and I can use the 72-hour VISA free transit I guess?
