About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

NZ - Guangzhou - Beijing - Germany

Hi, the Wikipedia China visa page states that, unlike other cities, Guangzhou will NOT issue a 24 hour direct transit from an incoming international flight, if it is followed by a domestic flight (to Beijing) and then an international (to Germany) within 24 hours. Is this true?

Hi, as I know, transit including multiple stops within China is permitted at Guangzhou only when the first transit point is Beijing. So if you travel like NZ - Beijing - Guangzhou - Germany, you may not need to apply for a visa then.

To summarize, NZ-Beijing-Guangzhou-Germany will work, NZ-Guangzhou-Beijing-Germany will not.
